Signatera test in the UK: access, cost and what results mean
Signatera is a personalized ctDNA blood test built from your own tumor's mutations. It is used to look for traces of cancer after surgery and to monitor over time. In the UK it is mostly available privately rather than routinely through the NHS, so patients often arrange it themselves or through a private consultant.
A positive result means tumor DNA was detected, which can come before anything shows on a scan. A negative result is reassuring but does not rule out recurrence, and the timing and frequency of testing matter. Kim reviews the report, explains what the numbers mean in context, and prepares questions for your NHS or private oncologist.
Guardant360 for UK patients
Guardant360 is a blood-based genomic test that looks for targetable mutations without a new biopsy. It can help when tissue is limited or a fresh biopsy is difficult, though it can miss changes when little tumor DNA is in the blood.
Kim checks whether a Guardant360 result fits with your NHS Genomic Medicine Service testing, whether anything actionable was found, and whether UK or EU trials match your profile.
